![]() and devote completely to paint since then. Reasons from the soul made me start the journey out of my country. I only had discarded cardboards, or wood scraps from construction for all formats, worked in all possible media, ink, pencils, any art supplies that friends didn´t use, etc…and made one step at a time…sometimes is good to have some encouragement… but sometimes is also good not have it at all…and believe in what you do. Those were rough times, but fun times, a lot to discover and persevere… ![]() I studied architecture and semiotics, but always kept painting, one field was nurturing the other respectively,Īnd some of the most basic seeds of my actual work were scattered back then. I had never seen anything like that until that moment it broke all the rules I knew! (5 years old approx.) and since then…images have been crucial in the journey to discover myself both personally and professionally as an artist. Once while reading an old encyclopedia in which many black and white images were depicting history and everything else around…in a page there was a little image in color… I found a Jean Coucteau´s self-portrait that looked as a vibrant flame in cerulean blue and red, vermillion…it blew up my mind. and I wish I can remain in that path all along the way. I grew up as a kid, dreaming, drawing and reading. Jorge, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
